🔷 Beginners Tajweed Course | Sisters 16+ | In Person – Slough 🔷 Start Date: Friday 21st November 2025 Runs every Friday Time: 5:10 PM – 6:10 PM Location: Blackbeard, High Street, Slough, SL1 1LN Fees: £22.95/month The Qur’an isn’t just read; it’s recited with care, love and precision. Each letter carries meaning, and every sound holds beauty. Tajweed is the art that helps us honour the words of Allah, ensuring we recite them just as they were revealed. This beginners’ course is designed for sisters who wish to develop a strong foundation in Qur’anic recitation. Whether you’re starting from scratch or revisiting the basics, you’ll gain clarity, confidence and fluency in reading the Qur'an with correct pronunciation. By the end of the course, you will: 🔹 Recognise and pronounce each Arabic letter accurately from its correct makhraj (articulation point) 🔹 Learn the shapes and sounds of Arabic letters in different positions 🔹 Understand and apply the short vowels (fatha, kasrah, dammah) and long vowels (madd letters) correctly 🔹 Read and identify sukoon, shaddah, and tanween 🔹 Learn the rules of madd (elongation) 🔹 Recognise and recite Huroof al-Leen 🔹Develop fluency through guided reading practice 🔹 Strengthen your understanding of basic Tajweed rules and how they affect pronunciation and meaning 🔹 Build confidence to recite the Qur’an beautifully with correct rhythm and clarity Course Features: 🔸Structured lessons 🔸One-to-one support and personalised feedback 🔸Course materials for home practice 🔸Certificate upon completion Please note: The room is only accessible via stairs. 🔹 Ustadha Umm Ahmed Annsary, (BA Islamic Theology and Arabic Language, CELTA) Umm Ahmed has completed the Aalimiyyah programme and is a qualified graduate of the institute of Islamic Education in Bradford. After completing the Aalimiyyah programme she has specialised in Islamic Jurisprudence and is a trained Qur'an teacher with Ijazah in Qira’ah, with extensive knowledge in the fields of Tajweed, Fiqh, and Hadith. Fluent in English, Urdu and Arabic, she brings over 10 years of teaching experience from roles in secondary school English, teacher of Hadith for 8+ years at Al Madani Aalimiyyah, and maktab settings. Additionally, she has tutored children and adults with autism, dyslexia and other special educational needs (SEN). Her mission is to inspire and educate women and young girls by deepening their connection with the Qur’an and the teachings of Islam.
